Tried to make today count with some good volume over 90%. Weight is down to 207.0 (lowest of the whole cycle) and in actuality I’m probably at 205-206. Holding just a bit of water. Strength took another drop at this new weight and Bench felt heavy. Pushed through it though, knowing I have deload next week. Kept weights submaximal and just worked on loooong pauses.
Paused Bench Press (3 sec pause):
- Warm Ups: 20 x bar, 10 x 135, 5 x 225, 1 x 275, 1 x 295, 1 x 315
- Work Sets: 335 x 1, 340 x 1, 345 x 1, 350 x 1 x 3 sets, 345 x 1 x 4 sets (10 singles over 90%)
- Back Off set (bodybuilder style, minimal arch, bar hits higher on pecs): 275 x 6
- Close Grip Bench 225 x 8
